Tunecore helps you sell your music on iTunes
This service offers a very easy way for artists and labels to sell music on the most popular international online music stores, including iTunes, Rhapsody, Sony Connect, eMusic and the Napster store (not to be confused with the now defunct peer-to-peer service of the same name). For a modest fee, Tunecore will submit your albums and songs to the services you choose, handle payments, and a number of other administrative services, making the process really simple for you the artist. And yes, you retain all the rights to your music, you own your music, you get all the money and there are no contracts to sign. There is a comprehensive FAQ on their site where you can study all the terms and conditions, not just for TuneCore but for iTunes and the various music stores. How much do you make? A price example from the iTunes US store: for a song sold at 0.99 cents you make 0.70 cents. iTunes keeps 29 cents and Tunecore nothing. They also offer CD pressing and have affiliated themselves with graphic artists who can produce cover art if you don't yet have any. Labels: Self-publishing
